Yas! I grew up playing just Sonic 2 and SOnic and Knuckles, but Sonic 3 has exceeded my expectations, lots of awesome moments.
I'd say the coolest (and hardest) boss battle was the one where Eggman's flying over the ruins and you have to hit him in just the right spot.
